Lisa Rodriguez is a Ph. D. Student in the Sociology Department at the University of Central Florida whose research interests surround social inequalities in Puerto Rico. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology from California State University – Sacramento. Lisa’s current research interests are community organizing in Puerto Rico, disaster recovery, and inequalities in the “Puerto Rican experience.” She is a nature and animal lover and enjoys travelling in her free time. Lisa plans to pursue a career in academia and hopes to work with institutions to teach courses that are representative of their student population.
