About UCF Abroad
UCF Abroad provides all students with opportunities to enrich their on-campus academic experience and become more globally competent and competitive graduates through high-impact, credit-bearing study, intern, and research abroad opportunities. UCF Abroad serves both undergraduate and graduate students from all 13 colleges and acts as the steward of over 100 international partnerships and study abroad opportunities.

The Future of UCF Abroad
UCF Abroad strives to expand accessibility and participation in international mobility experiences with the aim of supporting the development of UCF graduates ready to compete and succeed in a global workforce. Global competency and the ability to personally and professionally understand and engage across cultures are critical skillsets for all students and many UCF students need financial assistance to make studying abroad an accessible opportunity. UCF Abroad strives to secure financial resources to provide equity of accessibility across our student population.

The International Student Excellence Fund provides a necessary safety net for international students at the University of Central Florida who experience severe, extreme, and unforeseen financial hardship. This includes sudden but temporary homelessness and sudden medical expenses not covered by insurance. International students are far from their home and their family, and yet they deeply enrich our campus culture and community.

Your donation will help serve the select international students who experience unexpected financial hardship along the way toward degree completion.

About the Puerto Research Hub
The UCF Puerto Rico Research Hub continues to position itself as the gateway to Latin American and Caribbean Research. The mission: enhance the next generation of researchers to inform public policy decision by engaging in investigations, student engagement, outreach, and partnerships.

The Hub fosters interdisciplinary academic research to systematically study and understand important issues related to Puerto Ricans and the Central Florida community. Provides students with opportunities to engage in individual or collective research projects to understand demographic trends and issues to expand their professional experience. Disseminates research knowledge in community events, news interviews, and discussions with policymakers. Engages in partnerships on collaborations with different groups including UCF faculty, faculty from other academic institutions, other research centers and institutes, non-profit groups, businesses, chambers of commerce and other interested individuals.

Support for the Hub enables greater opportunities for students to engage in research, enhances its research capabilities, augments its outreach, and builds stronger partnerships to support programs such as the UCF Puerto Rico Baseball Day and the Hispanic Business and Education Program (H-BEAT).

The Hub seeks to sustain and elevate its mission by providing expanding research opportunities to develop the multidisciplinary workforce necessary to a state that serves as the gateway to business and educational ties to Latin American and the Caribbean. UCF Global is committed to living out the University’s goals as a community partner. The Community English Program (CEP) is for Central Florida residents whose first language is not English. Courses are designed to help build conversational English skills necessary for working and living in the United States. Participants in the CEP develop skills in listening, reading, writing, speaking, vocabulary, grammar, and culture. Classes are offered in person at community-based organizations, as well as online.

Our goal is that, together with cross sector partners in the region, we can engage the Central Florida community in educational opportunities that foster economic mobility and overall prosperity.
