This process is called “automatic visa revalidation.”  Automatic visa revalidation is not available to citizens of Iran, Syria, or Sudan; students who are out of status with a terminated SEVIS record; or students who have applied for a visa that was denied or is not yet issued. Visit the U.S. Department of State website to learn more about automatic visa revalidation.
