BIOGRAPHY
Nataly Chandia is the Associate Vice President of UCF Global at the University of Central Florida (UCF), where she serves as a senior executive leading the university’s global enterprise. In this role, she provides strategic and operational oversight for international education, including global partnerships, international student and scholar services, compliance, and program development, ensuring alignment with institutional priorities and long-term growth. Since 2003, she has played a pivotal role in advancing UCF’s internationalization strategy, strengthening organizational infrastructure, expanding global access, and positioning UCF as a leader in international education.
Chandia holds a Doctorate in Education in Leadership and Organizational Innovation from Marymount University, along with a bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Criminal Justice, a Master of Liberal Studies in Public Administration, and an Advanced Certificate in Public Administration from UCF. Prior to joining UCF, she held leadership roles in social services and higher education administration.
Born to Chilean parents, Nataly is a passionate supporter of Latino initiatives and has led multiple projects that have created pathways for the Latino community. These include operationalizing a grant from the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation to provide migrant populations with access to health and emergency response training, including CPR certification, establishing a no-cost, full-service dental clinic and travel health clinic for underrepresented populations, and serving as Director for educational programs and social services, including GED and English classes.
Having immigrated to the United States at a young age, she understands firsthand the experiences and challenges faced by international communities. She is a dedicated advocate for immigrants, especially international students and scholars, and is committed to supporting their journey to success in the United States. Chandia lives outside of Orlando with her husband and two daughters.
