We want your experience to be as smooth and exciting as possible. Before you begin, please complete the steps below to avoid common issues or delays.

ON-CAMPUS NEXT STEPS

1SETTING UP YOUR NID

In order to get started, please refer to the important steps below to assist you with creating your UCF student login.

1. Obtain your UCF NID using this link.

2. Look for the UCF NID Confirmation Email with your NID, this is your UCF username.

3. Follow the steps in the video below to create a new password.

It is important that you complete this set up prior to starting the program, so please do so as soon as possible.

SETTING UP YOUR UCF EMAIL

Please follow the steps below to retrieve your UCF student email.

1. Upon admission to the UCF Global Program, your UCF email is already created.

2. Your UCF email is your NID@UCF.EDU

3. Please click on link for additional information – UCF IT Knowledge Base – How do I log in to my student email via Outlook?

4. Once you have access to your UCF student e-mail, please use this to send an e-mail to INTLRecruitment@ucf.edu to set up a zoom meeting or phone call where you may ask any questions you may have on your Next Steps

2REQUESTING A FORM I-20

UCF Global will issue the Form I-20 upon your request, for you to successfully obtain an F-1 student visa.
To request a Form I-20, please complete the Form I-20 Request, through the process management platform for UCF Global.

REQUIRED DOCUMENTS
• Copy of Passport (passports must be valid for at least 6-months beyond your intended arrival into the United States)
• Copy of Dependent Passport (if applicable)
• Financial Documentation (View the chart of expected financial costs at UCF)
Affidavit of Support (if applicable)

TRANSFERRING YOUR SEVIS RECORD FROM ANOTHER U.S. INSTITUTION? WE WILL ALSO REQUIRE:
Transfer-in Form
• Current F-1 Visa or USCIS Notice of Action
• Most Recent Form I-94
• Most Recent Form I-20

To access myINTL, you will need your Network ID (NID) and password. Please refer to step 1, above.
If you do not know your NID or password, please visit myUCF and select “What is my NID?”

Once you have submitted all required documents, you may check the status of your Form I-20 at myUCF
(Student Self-Service > International Students > I-20 Status)

3COMPLETE NEXT STEPS FORM

To continue with your pre-arrival documents, please complete the Pathway Program Next Steps Form, through the process management platform for UCF Global.

NOTE: IT IS IMPORTANT THAT YOU MAKE SURE YOU HAVE COMPLETED STEPS ONE TO THREE IN ORDER TO CONTINUE AND EXPEDITE YOUR DOCUMENTS AND NEXT STEPS PRIOR YOUR ARRIVAL.

4COMPLETE YOUR IMMUNIZATION FORM

You will need to complete the following immunization form before your arrival and bring it with you during orientation.
Follow these instructions from UCF Student Health Services to complete the form.

SETTING UP YOUR MED+PROCTOR ACCOUNT

UCF has partnered with Med+Proctor for immunization compliance and verification. Please watch the video below to learn more about the immunization requirements and how to set up your Med+Proctor profile to submit your records. Please note that all students regardless of age must complete and return the immunization form to be reviewed for compliance by Med+Proctor.

You will not be able to register for classes without completing this requirement.

5HOUSING

To make your housing and meal plan selection and provide arrival information, please visit myINTL, the process management platform for UCF Global, and select Pathway Programs Next Steps from the eForms I Can Submit panel.

For your first year, UCF Global Pathway students live in apartment-style housing on the beautiful University of Central Florida campus, which comes with many benefits.

• You’re more likely to complete your degree on time, based on statistics.
• You’re close to classes, dining halls, the gyms and more fun on campus.
• You’re fully part of the UCF community, so it’s easier to make friends.

THE TOWERS AT KNIGHTS PLAZA (ON-CAMPUS)

This modern set of apartments is in Knights Plaza (0.3 miles from UCF Global), one of the coolest areas on-campus. In your apartment, you get the privacy of your own bedroom mixed with the social fun of having roommates. And outside The Towers, you’re right next to the convenience of great shops, dining options and fun entertainment.

NORTHVIEW (OFF-CAMPUS)

NorthView apartments has the independence of off-campus living (northeast corner of campus – one mile from UCF Global) as well as the safety and security of UCF-managed housing. Your apartment layout, has four private bedrooms, each with its own private bathroom. Each apartment is same-sex, but each floor is mixed gender.

Students in the UCF Global Pathway programs are encouraged to purchase a dining membership. Good news: You can enjoy a variety of American and international food in the campus dining halls. Even better news: No cooking or washing dishes needed!

6INSURANCE

PREFERRED INSURANCE PLAN
UCF has partnered with Academic Health Plan (AHP) to provide international student health insurance coverage through Aetna Student Health. If you chose to purchase this plan, please submit payment confirmation in order for us to verify. Additional resources and information about the plan are available below.
F & J students are required to have health insurance.

The coinsurance and deductible for this plan are waived when students use the UCF Student Health Center.

PRE-APPROVED ALTERNATIVE INSURANCE PLANS
Students may also select from any plan that meets all of the Florida Board of Governors’ requirements. UCF Health Services has pre-approved 6 alternative plans. Students may also use plans provided by sponsors and employers if the plans meet the minimum requirements. The required documentation for each type of plan is specified below:

INTERNATIONAL STUDENT INSURANCE

FL Board of Governors regulation 6.009 requires that all international students with F and J status have medical insurance prior to registration. Proof must be submitted to the International Insurance Department located within the Health Information Management and Compliance Office at Student Health Services.

7SUBMIT YOUR ARRIVAL DOCUMENTS

We are so excited for you to join us on campus! To ensure a smooth transition to your new home, plan to arrive on or before your official move-in day.
Airport pickup is available at Orlando International Airport (MCO).

YOU ARE REQUIRED TO SUBMIT ARRIVAL DETAILS BEFORE YOU DEPART FOR UCF

Please provide your arrival details in your Pathway Programs Next Steps form at least 15 days in advance to the program start date. We need to know when you are arriving so we can:

• Confirm your housing and enrollment.
• Arrange your free ride from the airport to campus.
• Help prevent any issues with enrollment once you arrive.

PLEASE PLAN TO ARRIVE ON YOUR MOVE-IN DATE

BOOK YOUR FLIGHT TO ORLANDO, FL

We offer free airport transportation from Orlando International Airport (International Airport Code – MCO) to UCF to help ensure you have an easy arrival to campus. Even if you don’t require airport pick-up or you are arriving by alternative means of transport, please be sure to submit your arrival details to us as soon as possible. These important details will help the team prepare for your arrival and make your big day go as smoothly as possible.

It is important that you arrive on or just before move-in day. If arriving early, you will need to book a hotel as your room won’t be ready until move-in day.

ARRIVING BEFORE YOUR MOVE-IN DAY?

You will need to arrange your own private airport transfer and accommodation. Please provide your arrival details in your Pathway Programs Next Steps form if you are arriving outside the move-in date and would like to book airport transfer service. We will do our best to accommodate requests outside of move-in dates.

8TAKE THE MATH PLACEMENT TEST

Incoming undergraduate UCF Global Pathway Program students are required to take a math placement test before leaving their home country. Pre-sessional English students are not required to take a math placement test before arrival to UCF.

9PAYMENT DEADLINE

You will not be invoiced until after you are enrolled. Payment is not due until the UCF payment deadline. Approved payment methods can be reviewed here.

PAYMENT METHOD

  • How to make an online payment through myUCF
  • Electronic check payments for tuition and fees are not assessed convenience fees.
  • The convenience fee for Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express tuition and fee payments is 2 percent of the total payment.

 

ACCEPTABLE FORMS OF PAYMENT

Acceptable forms of payment include checks, money orders, credit cards, and international wire transfers. For mailed payments, include the student’s name and UCF ID on checks and money orders, and mail them to the address below. UCF does not accept cash payments for tuition and fees. E-check and credit card payments may be made online by logging into myUCF.

Checks issued from money market accounts, credit card companies, mutual funds, brokerage accounts, home equity or other lines of credit cannot be processed as an e-check. These types of checks with the student’s name and UCF ID are accepted by mail.

The University of Central Florida has partnered with Flywire to make your international payments safe and easy. Flywire allows you to pay from almost any country and any bank. They also offer excellent foreign exchange rates, allowing you to pay in your home currency (in most cases) and save money, compared to traditional banks. We ask that you send all bank transfer payments through Flywire.

  • To get started, go to the Flywire website for your specific program (see below) to create a Flywire login and fill out your payment details. Once the necessary information is entered, you will receive payment delivery instructions on how to send your payment to Flywire by visiting your bank (online, phone, or in person).
  • Flywire will convert the funds and will send the amount to UCF where it will be credited to your student account. If your home currency isn’t available, you can still save by sending your payment in one of the many currencies offered.
  • You will be able to login to your Flywire account at any time to track the process of your payment. Please note – it may take up to 3 business days to post the payment to your student account.
