ACADEMIC ORAL COMMUNICATION AND CULTURE (AOCC)
The goal of this course is to familiarize participants with the academic culture and teaching concepts and methodologies implemented in classes at universities across North America. Emphasis is placed on oral communication skills and strategies to deliver effective instruction.
AOCC COURSE ELIGIBILITY
Prospective and current international GTAs, post-doctoral researchers, International Visiting Scholars, and new faculty.
NOTE: The AOCC course can also help graduate students who scored between 59 and 69 on the initial Versant Test.
