UCF faculty, staff and students planning to engage in international travel (i.e., travel outside the United States) are advised to monitor legal and institutional requirements for such travel, including entry and exit requirements, as well as health and safety risks associated with travel destinations.

Please consider the following:

  1. Please ensure your passport and associated travel documentation are current and active (e.g., passport has at least 6 months validity before expiration).
  2. Please monitor associated U.S. Government websites related to travel safety (e.g., U.S. Department of State Travel Advisories).
  3. Please research additional useful resources for travel including:
    1. U.S. Embassy or Consulate Website for your Destination Country;
    2. Your Airline and Destination Country’s Official Immigration Website for entry/exit requirements;
    3. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) – Travelers’ Health Website.
  4. If you are traveling for any University-related activity, please ensure you complete UCF’s Travel Approval & Registration Process prior to travel.
  5. *If you are not a U.S. Citizen (i.e., hold Permanent Residency or other visa classification such as H-1B, TN, O-1, etc.), please monitor associated travel information related to your immigration/visa status as applicable (e.g., U.S. Customs and Border Protection [CBP] and U.S. Department of Homeland Security[DHS]).
  6. **International Students and Scholars (F/J Visa): Before traveling, please consult with your UCF Global advisor to confirm you have obtained the appropriate travel authorization.
  7. Re-Entry to the United States:
    1. With greater emphasis on stricter border control, please be prepared for longer screening processes, potential device searches and screening interviews. Note: CBP can examine your phone and other electronics.
    2. Please ensure you have all required travel documents available and organized for ease of access during the re-entry/screening process.
