Spring 2025 in Full Bloom: A Season of Connection and Celebration at UCF Global
As the Spring 2025 semester comes to a close, we’re looking back at the incredible memories created with our international community at UCF Global. From cultural celebrations to outdoor activities and academic milestones, this spring was all about connection, community, and global engagement.
Welcome Spring Knights
We kicked off the semester on January 7 with our annual #WelcomeKnights event, welcoming nearly 200 new international students. Students from all Global programs met the teams from ISSS, Employment and Taxation, CAPS, and Career Services. We were thrilled to see friendships forming and excitement building for the semester ahead.
Celebrating Lunar New Year
Later that month, we celebrated the Lunar New Year of the Serpent on January 29 with a wooden snake painting activity. Students sampled snacks from various Asian cultures and took time to reflect on new beginnings.

Valentine’s Day Competition
February 14 brought some fun with our Valentine’s Day Competition, where students competed in challenges like football juggling, and other outdoor fun. Our Global community came together in the name of friendship, fun, and friendly competition.

Orlando Magic Knight
On February 25, 54 UCF Global students cheered on the Orlando Magic at the Kia Center. Despite a tough loss for the home team, students enjoyed a VIP tour and immersed themselves in the electric atmosphere of American basketball. It was an amazing opportunity to connect students with local culture beyond the classroom.

Wekiwa Springs Hike
March 8 brought a breath of fresh air as students from 14 countries explored Wekiwa Springs State Park. From hiking the Volkmarch Trail to relaxing by the crystal-clear springs, the day was a reminder of the beauty of both nature and global friendships.

Eid al-Fitr and Potluck Celebration
On March 31, our community came together to celebrate Eid al-Fitr with a multicultural potluck. Students shared traditional dishes, music, and games, embodying the spirit of unity and joy that defines both Eid and UCF Global.

UCF Day of Giving Lunch Fundraiser
April 10 marked UCF Global’s participation in the university-wide Day of Giving. Our students, alumni, and faculty came together to support initiatives like scholarships and hardship funds through small donations! Attendees enjoyed a warm meal and even got to pie their favorite faculty members in good spirit. It was a day full of laughter, generosity, and school pride.

Easter Celebration
On April 15, we brought some springtime cheer with a creative Easter Egg Decorating event. Students gathered to paint eggs, share stories, and celebrate the season together. Thank you to everyone who joined us for this joyful celebration.

IEP International Culture Day
Our Intensive English Program (IEP) students brought the world to UCF Global with International Culture Day, featuring traditional foods, attire, dance, and presentations. It was a joyful, immersive experience that celebrated the diversity of our student body.

Graduation Celebrations
Spring wrapped up with major milestones: our UCF Global Graduation on April 30 and the Community English Program (CEP) Graduation on May 8. These events honored the hard work and dedication of our students and partners. Congratulations to all our graduates! You make us proud!
Looking Ahead
Stay tuned for more events, adventures, and opportunities this summer and fall. To all our students: thank you for making this spring so special!
